Just a second, every day, for the rest of your life.

Coffee 2013- Nick Wons-1

Spring is in the air, sort of. It's been nice to get this winter behind us for the most part and start planning Spring/Summer 2013, however with the possibility of snow by the end of the week it's not leaving me a happy Nicky to say the least. I guess I shouldn't complain though because it could always be worse; could be dealing with earthquakes, wildfires, hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, tsunamis, malaria mosquitoes and  venomous creatures that bite such as that new face sized tarantula discovered in Sri Lanka. Guess I'll take snow & cold FTW!

As I sip my double Americano & butter tart from my newly discovered local coffee shop, Hula Girl, I'm putting together yet another post on the blog this week. Hopefully I can get myself into the swing of posting regularly again, I find it's tough when you're going in a million directions and working a full time job in addition to operating my own business full time and then trying to make time to see friends and family somewhere between all that work and when I eventually get to sleep. Yes, I actually do sleep, I know it's hard to believe. haha.

Anyway, so for today's post I wanted to share something which was shown to me by my friend and fellow photographer, Tobias, from Visualbass Photography. He came across a video which some of you may have already seen on TED talks entitled "One second every day". I've got to admit this is one of the coolest little projects I'd like to start doing myself, sadly they haven't launched an Android version of the app and anybody who knows me knows I don't own any Apple products.

It's a pretty neat, lord knows that we're all so busy in our lives that we often forget those small moments every day and so to be able to look back at them like that would be pretty sweet. So as I sit patiently and await a launch of the application for Android I encourage you to download the app for your iOS device and start collecting little snippets of your daily life so that you too can look back in the next 5, 10, maybe even 15 years and be reminded of the awesome experiences that you've had in your life.

Just an idea, but I figured I would share and maybe inspire the same way that I was inspired. If you've already started something like this or do a 'photo a day' challenge and would like to share feel free to post a link to your video in the comments below.
