My first show! PWB Canada 02.29.12 (Toronto)
2012 is here, and I hope it's been off to as good of a start for you as it has been for me! Don't ask me how it's already February because your guess is as good as mine, however as busy as it's been it's certainly been very productive. The new website has been really successful in the month it's been up putting through 2,100 unique visitors and 12,000 views from 54 countries, not too shabby!
I'm excited to announce that I was recently asked to submit some photos to Photographers Without Borders Canada's panel for review, and have been informed that the photos I submitted have been selected to not only go up for sale on their website, however I will also be displaying some of them at a show at The Brockton Collective in Toronto on February 29th 2011 from 7pm-11pm. This will be PWB's first show of what is planned to be many, and this show's theme will be urban landscapes.
I think excited is an underestimation, to be honest I haven't had butterflies in my stomach like this since I took my first ride in the CN Tower elevator, which was right after I signed my new hire package as a host. Oh, and I had an absolute and total fear of heights and the job involved taking people UP the tower, 1,136ft (346m) in 58 seconds (or up to 4 minutes on "sway speed"). hahaha. Yeah, I believe in facing your fears, in that case 40hrs a week, and 200 trips a day in a windowed elevator should do it. Baptism, by fire.
Currently PWB is putting together all the event info, however you can keep up to date with the latest info by checking their Facebook page . If you can make it out to on Feb 29th for the opening it would be great to see some familiar faces, and it's always a pleasure to meet new people.
